Ourmegadawn

Preorder (out April 11th, 2014):

CD – $10
Digital $8
Cassette – $6

Murfie CD + Digital – $10

The arrival of Ourmegadawn has been a long time coming. Despite frequent appearances in Riverwest and the general Milwaukee area, Ourmegadawn is the first proper album since Animals In Human Attire’s 2011 self-titled outing.

Members of the band spread their talents amongst various local acts (including Temple, Myles Coyne & the Rusty Nickel Band, The Zelda Routine, and others), but this specific arrangement of BREADKING frequenters drives a particular sound with vocals by Jack Tell steering the ensemble.

Beyond all else, Ourmegadawn is fun. It’s eight tracks of head-bobbing, folk-informed indie rock, and like all things BREADKING, Animals In Human Attire takes a punk approach to the whole album.

SHOW PREVIEW: Asumaya, Paperhaus, Lion’s Mouth

Paperhaus

Monday, September 30th @ 9:00PM
The Dragonfly Lounge // $5 Cover // 21+

Paperhaus (WASHINGTON, DC)
Asumaya (MADISON)
Lion’s Mouth (MADISON)

Paperhaus is a psychedelic alt-blues band from Washington, DC. “Lo Hi Lo” (embedded above) was recorded at DC’s legendary Inner Ear Studios with producer Ivan Basuri, and reflects the more pop side of Paperhaus’ psychedelic music. A full length LP of more blues and funk influenced psychedelic music is in the works and will be released in 2014.  [excerpt from band press]

Madison’s own Asumaya creates percussive loop-based tunes that draw equally from international and math rock music.  His time in Africa is always present, never going so far as to become a gimmick.  Asumaya’s Luke Bassuener also lends his rhythmic talents to the band CONTROL.

Last, but not least, is alt/indie-pop act Lion’s Mouth.  This Madison two-piece is made up of Sara W. and Chelsea Z.  While I’ve yet to see them live, you can listen to them via their ReverbNation link above.  The band describes themselves as having “the sensibilities of pop, the relentless energy of punk, and the heart and soul of folk.”

Announcing Lost City Music Festival 2013: August 8th-11th

Lost City Music Festival 2013

Mine All Mine Records is proud to announce the second annual Lost City Music Festival in Madison, Wisconsin.  The festival will be held from August 8th to 11th with shows at the High Noon Saloon, the Dragonfly Lounge and Bright Red Studios (+  one announced secret venue).

After the success of last year’s festival, the crew behind the Lost City Music Festival decided to aim for focus with the second iteration.  This year, the Lost City crew has put a heavier emphasis on local acts and tightly paired billings.  The Lost City Music Festival 2013 will be an even better experience than before.

The Lost City Music Festival was founded in part to fill a cultural gap the crew perceived.  That is, a low-cost music event featuring a range of styles and a focus on local and regional artists.  The crew has continued to listen to the community’s concerns and needs in regards to last year’s music festival and the scene(s) as a whole.

In keeping with that tradition, all performers at the Lost City Music Festival 2013 will be fairly compensated for their contributions.  A portion of all sales will continue to benefit local music charities, and artists will be given the option to donate to these charities at their own discretion.

NEW RELEASE: BREADFEST 2013 SAMPLER (Compiled by Myles Coyne)

BREADFEST 2013 SAMPLER

DOWNLOAD & COMMENT HERE.

A Note From Myles Coyne:

Here it is ya’ll – the first release in a series of digital samplers. These are my “Mouse Mixes.” Mine All Mine and I will be throwing a few of these together over the next few months in an effort to raise awareness of some of our favorite bands that you might not have caught wind of yet.

BREADFEST 2013 SAMPLER! Number one, baby. In case you didn’t know, we over here in Milwaukee caught wind of Mine All Mine’s Lost City Music Festival last year in Madison. Playing the festival was awesome, and it was an amazing experience hanging out for the rest of the weekend at all the other shows.

Back home in Milwaukee, everyone in BREADKING had always joked about doing our own fest. We figured, “Hell, everyone’s doing it.” So we set up our own music fest.

BREADFEST will be hosting some of our favorite bands for a two-day extravaganza throughout Milwaukee’s Riverwest community from June 29th to 30th. All age’s shows will be held both days of the fest at Cocoon Room and Jackpot Gallery. Both nights will end at a different local bar – Quarters and Stonefly Brewery.

We put together this sampler for your face melting pleasure. Scowler, one of my favorite Milwaukee bands start off the mix. Though the gang couldn’t make the fest, their singer Kyle Thomas Smith is opening Day 1 at Cocoon Room with a solo set before Moaded brings it with their intense live antics. Victor Shores plays after. Their song “No Name, Just Socks” is the second track on the mix – probably one of the most played songs/tapes in my friends group ever. FACT.

Others tracks, like “2” by Old Earth, showcase the fest’s sweet tooth for experimental jams, coming at you with a ten-minute Gibson SG jam. Local favorites like, Alta, Absolutely and Soul Low even drop a track from their earlier albums.

The sampler is just a taste of the bands that will playing BREADFEST, so join us on June 29 & 30th. Be apart of Milwaukee music scene. Lets hang out and fall over. Fun times!

– Myles
