Comedy Added to the Lost City Music Festival 2013!

Comedy at the Lost City Music Festival 2013!

In addition to all the great bands playing this year’s Lost City Music Festival, Mine All Mine is excited to finally add comedy into the mix!  We’re huge comedy fans over here, so this new addition to the Festival is no surprise.

Catch some of the best in Madison’s comedy scene, including Dan Potacke, Chris Lay, Sarah Connor, Nate Bjork and Stacey Kulow, as well as a surprise set by hip-hop absurdists Fambly Fun!.

Comedy Night at the Lost City Music Festival 2013 starts at 7:00 PM sharp on Friday, August 9th at Bright Red Studios.  As with all shows in this year’s Festival, tickets are $7.  Your $12 full pass wristband will get you in, too, so pick one up here if you haven’t yet!

For more information, check out the facebook event here, or visit LostCityMusicFestival.com.

As you may know, we’ve recently begun working closely with Madison’s newest venue, the Dragonfly Lounge.  Located below the beautiful Bellini Italian Restaurant (401 E. Washington), Dragonfly has been a small space for private events since Bellini was converted from a church (built in 1897) into one of Madison’s finest Italian restaurants.  Now, the space serves as an intimate venue, and Mine All Mine has partnered with Dragonfly to fill the space.  So far, our winter series has shown that Madison is more than ready to support a new venue with friendly faces.

Read on below for videos and photos from our launch party (Pioneer, Pushmi-Pullyu, Ugly Brothers and Lovely Socialite), as well as live audio featured on WORT 89.9FM (Cap Alan, Golden Donna and Lovely Socialite).  At the end, grab some info on booking with Mine All Mine at the Dragonfly Lounge, as well as our upcoming shows (see the sidebar to the right). Celebrating 2011

The year 2011 was an important one for Mine All Mine Records.  Over the course of a year, we have released nearly 60 albums, EPs and singles, we have raised money for multiple non-profits, we have begun booking shows at the DragonFly Lounge, and much more!

To celebrate, we are setting free five releases from 2011 that were previously not available for free download.  For the next week, you can download the following five albums and EPs absolutely free!  You can still visit the download page to send some money to the artist(s), but for now, this is our gift to you.  Continue below for descriptions and download links.

Merry Christmas from Fambly Fun! (New EP)

It’s no secret that Fambly Fun! celebrates Christmas over 360 days of the year, but this year, Madison’s premier goof-hop band is sending you this greeting card in the form of the Best Xmas Ever! EP. You need no further proof than this collection of fire-side carols to see that no one loves Christmas (and it’s associated holiday celebrations) more than the Fambly!

Interview: Artist Joe Ludwig

Joe Ludwig may not be a name that a lot of you know, but if you follow Mine All Mine Records, you’ve seen his work.  Joe graciously donated the art you see above for our Umbrella compilation, which was sold to raise money for SlaveFree Madison back in December.  He also created the artwork for the poster, and soon, his work will be featured on the cover of Fambly Fun!’s new album, The Machine.  Our resident interviewer Ben Schapiro sat down with Joe earlier this year.  Read the full interview below, and look for more of Joe’s work soon.
