New Release: The final Castles EP.

After scrapping plans for albums and EPs on more than one occasion, Castles has finally returned to Mine All Mine Records. Instead of complex Nintendo-infused pop songs, Castles brings us “Cancer”, a collection of four lo-fi folk-rock songs in a simpler vein, reminiscent of the work we originally grew to love when his first album was released. This is the final Castles EP.

It is a sad day to see Castles go, but weep not! We are proud to announce that Cassidy J. David-Weber, the man behind Castles, is well into work on a new album under the moniker Dead Dog, and he sounds better than ever. Next week, look for Dead Dog’s first single, “Florida Refuse.”

New Charity Compilation: Studio B Sessions For School Music

Recorded at Madison’s own Studio B Music, this compilation was recorded with over twenty different contributing musicians and sold to raise money for the Madison Area Music Association. MAMA is a non-profit organization that buys instruments for schools in Madison, Wisconsin. All profits from this compilation go directly to the MAMAs. Purchase it at the link above for a minimum donation of $5.

New Release – dné

In 2009, Mine All Mine Records described Prague’s dné as ambient and folky, and totally kick-ass. In the two years since we released his debut EP, Talking With Crayons, dné has only gotten better. As he readies his upcoming debut full-length, dné is teaming up with Mine All Mine Records once again to offer a single EP with a twist. In “Reading Lyrics Aloud Means Singing,” dné enlisted the help of three other artists to remix the same track, with the caveat that the artists must provide their own lyrics. Thus, these tracks use dné’s original work as a building block.
