I just spotted this new video for el-tin fun‘s track, “cactus flower and the willomeans.” Make sure to check out the brilliant cat solo near the end. The track sounds exceptionally lush in this version. It can only be presumed that el-tin fun is working on new material.
While many of mam!records’ artists continue to march forward into new territories and new recordings, it’s great to see that older material is not being forgotten. The Enright House, who is currently working on a new album, has had a couple encounters with this label. You might have caught his split with Pushmi-Pullyu, or his amazing single from earlier this year.
Watch the video above, the awesome new trailer for Beginning, Middle & End, an indie film by Abbott Films and Brothers Young Pictures, which features music by The Enright House, and other awesome acts. This trailer in particular features the track “Scattering the Sun Like Gunshot.”
Tomorrow, my replacement equipment is FINALLY scheduled to arrive. It took the company 10 days to process and 9 days to ship due to Memorial Day weekend. It *should* be here tomorrow.
That means you can expect regular releases to continue next week, and we’re going to hit you hard. Lots of local work has been going on with the label. We continue to work on our presence in Madison, our home-town. But now, there’s even more work to be done.
I thank you all for sticking through this rough patch. This label will not die so easily.

Things have been rough for the last few weeks (silly lightning!), but things are on their way up. I promise! Homeowners’ insurance was nice enough to pay for the damage, and everything busted will soon be replaced. With that comes new free music, new physical releases and more content than ever.
