News: Announcing Mine All Mine Video

Things have been rough for the last few weeks (silly lightning!), but things are on their way up.  I promise!  Homeowners’ insurance was nice enough to pay for the damage, and everything busted will soon be replaced.  With that comes new free music, new physical releases and more content than ever.

Today specifically, I would like to introduce you all to the newest member of the mam!records family.  For the next few weeks, the wonderfully talented Raquel Salazar Foster will be producing exclusive video content for this very website.  Check back soon for some awesome new videos documenting a few of the artists we’re proud to work with.  Also check back next week for the return of free weekly music downloads.

Let us know in the comments what you’d like to see.

Buzz: Ben John Robertson on Radio K

Minnesota’s Radio K features a post-rock/experimental program called Now Like Photographs.  They were nice enough to feature material from our recent release by Ben John Robertson, as well as name-drop mam!records.

Head on over to the Radio K site by clicking here, where you can download or stream the program.

News: 9 August 2010

As some of you may know (if you follow us on Facebook), things around mam!records have been a bit shaken up due to one of the most unpredictable things possible.  The other day, early in the morning, lightning struck our house.  Due to the strike, my laptop (along with several other devices in the house – all of which were protected) was destroyed.

All of the queued releases and archives are thoroughly backed up, so there’s no worry about that.  Unfortunately, some coming releases may be delayed, or slightly different in release method.  Until that laptop is replaced, I hope you can all understand if we can’t bring free weekly releases as consistently as we normally aim for.
With that said, I will be trying my damnedest to get these wonderful sounds in your ears.  Check back later tonight for the debut of Fambly Fun!‘s brand new album, As It Always Was.

Best wishes,

John Praw Kruse
