It’s been just over a week since the release of John Praw’s self-titled full-length album, and some great things are rolling in. Since music sites and blogs have been such a great help for Mine All Mine Records, we have decided to allow these sites to give away the John Praw album for FREE! Dig around, send your blogger friends over, and you just might find this out there.
A few days ago, The Onion A.V. Club‘s Ben Munson contacted us to ask if and how Scott Walker’s “Budget Repair Bill” might affect local music. All of us here at Mine All Mine Records are heavily invested in the city of Madison and Wisconsin’s education system in general.
You can read my statement, as well as comments from other local musicians, here at Madison’s A.V. Club. If you are unfamiliar with the current political situation in Madison – a situation many states other than Wisconsin will soon find themselves in – I highly recommend you look into it (preferably from Madison-local news sources only).
Check out this awesome track by Electric Sea Spider on Finest Ego | New Zealand / Australian Beat Maker Compilation. You can stream it above, or follow that link to download the full compilation. While you’re at it, you can grab the limited edition cassette copy if you’d like.
In case you somehow missed it, late last year we released Electric Sea Spider’s newest album, Mohican Beats. You can grab that for free here.
I am always extremely excited to read press about any of our wonderful artists. Today is no exception. Head over to Musicovered.com for an excellent write-up on Amy Hiller. She’s been a long-time favorite of ours, and Musicovered seems to love her work just as much as we do.

If you come across press – good or bad – about Mine All Mine Records artists, please send us a message.
This morning, I stumbled upon an excellent site called Free Music Archive, and imagine my surprise when I see that the front page features an excellent write-up on our new friends The Munitionettes. What’s even crazier is that it was posted mere minutes before I checked the site for the first time ever.
Read their very kind words and check out the great free audio they link to by visiting their site here.
Download The Munitionettes’ debut EP Fast Jurassic here.
We are happy to share the news with you that Tom Teslik’s “Get To Know You Song” has been ranked the #11 song in Madison for the year. The Onion’s A.V. Club ranked it on their recent top 15 list, which includes the likes of Zola Jesus, The Cemetery Improvement Society and All Tiny Creatures.
You can see the article here.
We released Tom’s excellent song as part of the split “Sing/le” with Ben Knollenberg. You can download that here. Tom and Ben have both been great friends of ours for years, and we’re proud of their accomplishments.
Last week, Corey and I had the pleasure of sitting down with freelance writer Jessica Steinhoff. The result is this wonderful write-up in Madison’s own Isthmus. Copies of the (free) paper hit newsstands on Thursday, and you can now read it at the Isthmus’ website, the Daily Page.
There are also plugs for some of our artists – Given Willingly, Electric Sea Spider, Wild Dogs In Winter.
Check it out here. We’re extremely grateful for this superbly flattering piece, and we’d love to hear what you think.
