New Release: Chief Warrant Officer – Digi-Cassettes #1 & #2
After Chief Warrant Officer’s incredible debut album Hotspur, the Sturgeon Bay DIY recordist returns with the first two releases in a series of digital cassette singles. The first features more of the indie rock sentiment found in Hostpur, while the second brings elements of electronic hip-hop into the mix. Make sure to grab them both below!

New Releases: Tom/Ben & el-tin fun
This Sunday, mam!records will help celebrate the creation of In The Kitchen, a new music and art collection here in Madison. With that, we bring you two new free releases by some of the founders of In The Kitchen. The first is Sing/le, a split single between Tom Teslik and Ben Knollenberg. The second is an EP of B-sides from el-tin fun’s most recent album, sunburned skeptics.

Show: el-tin fun Album Release Show
Tuesday, we released el-tin fun‘s awesome new album, Sunburned Skeptics. The band itself has had physical copies professionally pressed (by Madison’s own Sooper Dooper), and they’ll be celebrating the album’s release TONIGHT in Madison. The show is FREE, and it will take place at Mickey’s Tavern.
Also playing will be local buddies Meteorade, and Milwaukee’s The Fatty Acids. You can also check out another album being released tonight by Leonard the Comet (Meteorade side-project).

New Release: el-tin fun’s “sunburned skeptics”
This week’s new release is another welcome addition to the el-tin fun cannon. Check out all nine new recordings in this free release, and if you enjoy it, buy it from the artists themselves. I think this album really captures the experience you get seeing them live – maybe with a few extra frills, of course. My favorite track is by far “helicopter freeekouts.”
