After seemingly disappearing from the internet since 2009’s Goldyne EP (available here), goldyne makes a spectacular return with this, his self-titled full-length.  Noisy rock splattered with electronic crunches allow goldyne to shine here.  Album high-lights include the extremely dance-able “systemic vice,” “ballgame, second inning” and “l.a. hex”.  The album seems to work in two distinct directions, with the second half of the album taking a turn from electronic poppiness to darker experimental electronics.
